Food Pantry & Road Bags
Those who need groceries can find canned soups or chili, peanut butter, canned fruit or fruit cups, tuna fish, or any other canned or long-lasting prepared food items in the Little Pantry. It’s located on the lawn next to Fourth Plain Blvd.
Our Food Pantry provides Road Bags to Go. They don’t need cooking or heating. Road bags include single servings of shelf-stable protein (meat sticks, cheese, tuna, chicken, nuts, etc.), fruit cups, crackers and cheese or peanut butter, chips, and sweets (cookies, cakes, etc.).
Donations are welcome. Please drop them off in the main office or in the basket in the narthex on Sundays.
Meal Makers (M&Ms)
The “Meal Makers” ministry members cook and deliver dinner once a month to a local men’s shelter at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Vancouver. Monthly Shelter meals fall on different dates, so check the Events calendar. Members of this ministry provide mains, sides, salads and dessert. For more information, contact Melanie Kenoyer.

WHAT Shelter
The church supports the mission of the WHAT shelter (Women’s Housing and Transition), a collaboration with Share Vanouver. We also donate homemaking and housekeeping supplies for women transitioning into permanent housing, and we have a small clothing closet on site for those who need it.
If you are in need of shelter or know someone who is, call the Council for the Homeless Housing Solutions Center at (360) 695-9677.
Helping Hands
Meets on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Behind an unassuming door at the church is a workshop full of colorful donated fabrics and sewing supplies. Once a week this group meets in person to sew clothes in sizes 2-8 for children. Outfits are donated to Share Vancouver for their clients. Experienced sewers are very welcome to join. Members can opt to sew at home instead. Fabric donations are welcome in the main office (knits for t-shirts, flannel for pajamas and wovens for pants and shorts). For more information, contact

Joan Wilson Prayer Shawl Guild
Meets every second Thursday of the month from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Library. If you want to put a smile on your face, sit down on one of our overstuffed couches with the Joan Wilson Prayer Shawl Guild. They meet for conversation, laughs and to knit prayer shawls and blankets for those in our community struggling with health or loss. For more information, contact
Mary Ann D’Angelo.
